THE SERVICE
My philosophy is simple: I will work with you to conduct exactly the service you want.
Many families choose to have simple services to remember, reflect and say goodbye in their own way; others prefer more unique ways of celebrating the life and over the years families have chosen to:
- Listen to live music
- Read poems and letters of farewell
- Play recorded messages from relatives overseas
- Sing songs rather than hymnsWhether you choose to hold the funeral service in a crematorium, public or woodland burial site, or even hold the service at another location before the hearse moves to the final resting place or crematorium, I will work closely with you to produce the farewell you desire.
If, as part of the service, you would like me to create and deliver a tribute to your loved one, I will always ask you to check it beforehand for accuracy and tone and only ever deliver the tribute you approve.
As many families find themselves spread widely across geographic areas, I am increasingly helping to arrange services through email and by telephone. This has proven to be very successful and a great help at a difficult time.
Another option is to have a very simple “family only” service at the crematorium or graveside and immediately follow this with a memorial service, at a more relaxed location. If this is your wish I will work with you on both ceremonies and present the services exactly as you wish.
